Although a rare phenomenon in concert practice, the performance of two guitars is fascinating and pleasant to listen to. The CD includes works both adapted and especially written for two guitars.
Bernard Hebb (USA) is a guitarist of world fame, enjoying an active concert-giving and teaching career. Student of Francis la Pierre, USA, and Prof. Karl Scheit, Austria, he has contributed a lot to making the guitar a popular classical music instrument. He has recorded for various radio stations and music publishing companies.
Finn Svit (Denmark) studied at the Nordjysk Musikkonservatorium in Aalborg, Denmark. He is chairman of the Aalborg International Guitar Festival and has given masterclasses, held lectures, and taken part in different teaching programmes in Europe. He has made extensive recordings together with the violinist Jochen Brusch. Some of them were released by Gega New in two programmes: Treasures for Violin and Guitar, and More Treasures for Violin and Guitar.
