The Christo Christov – Mario Angelov duo has been working together for more than 20 years. Their joint activity involves performing on the stages of many European countries, making recordings and participating at festivals. Both have graduated the “Lyubomir Pipkov” Sofia Music School and the “Pancho Vladigerov” National Music Academy. Christo Christov continued his studies in Germany, while Mario Angelov began his professional career as a pianist with the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio. Although each of them has a separate soloist career, they still perform together in concerts. This programme, which unites authors from diverse epochs and styles, is a result of their work throughout the years. Being brilliant virtuosos, they never indulge in technique for its sake, but interpret the sonata dialogue in excellent taste and subtlety and thus lead us from the classic style, through romanticism to contemporary genres.
