The first CD of soprano Alexandrina Pendatchanska released in Bulgaria includes eight arias, selected from the repertoire which made her famous on the world opera stages. Quite naturally, in the years that have passed, the singer has added a number of new parts in her creative biography but La Traviata and Eugene Onegin, for example, still remain among her greatest assets. A singer of exceptional musical culture and with a keen sense of style and superb technique, Pendatchanska interprets with brilliance the lyrical bel canto parts by Mozart, Donizetti, Bellini and Rossini. She made her debut with the great aria of Violetta from La Traviata, featured in the present release.

Recorded in Bulgaria Concert Hall, September 1994
