LOVE IS FOREVER

Roumiana Valtcheva-Evrova is an eminent chamber singer, with a rich and varied repertoire which includes a vast range of musical periods, styles and genres. Beginning her tuition in singing under the guidance of Professor Ilia Yossifov in Sofia, Roumiana went on to study with Kamersengerin Ruthilde Boesch in Vienna, giving her the chance to expand her repertoire and learn new techniques.
Roumiana Valtcheva-Ecrova has performed in Europe, Asia and Australia. Along with recitals, the singer takes part in recording popular vocal works, as well as rarely performed songs. Her voice has been described by critics as “innately beautiful”, possessing “an impeccable vocal line”.
Nikolai Evrov often shares the stage and the studio with his wife, Roumiana Valtcheva, as in this release. He has been Professor of Piano at the Bulgarian Academy of Music since 1985, and at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music since 1986. His career as a concert artist began at a very early age, and he is prize winner at a number of prestigious international piano competitions: “M. Long”, “Liszt-Bartok”, etc. He has given concerts as a soloist throughout the world: in Europe, Asia, America, Australia and New Zealand.
The release “Love is Forever” recorded by both artists is like a brief course on the history of vocal chamber music. It features song samples of two centuries: German Classicism and Romanticism, French Impressionism and the Russian masters, as well as Bulgarian composers of the twentieth century.
