Pianist Svetozar Ivanov has always surprised the listener with the interesting programs that he records. He definitely has an affinity for music of the 20th century and the end of the 19th century. His previous two CDs released by Gega New – Vers la flamme and Naked Tango include mainly works by Debussy, Berg, Schoenberg, Scriabin, Satie, Nazareth, Helps, Tisdall, Stravinsky, Barber. In his latest album Svetozar Ivanov concentrates again on 20th century music. Together with the violinist Carolyn Stuart they present the composer Nikolai Roslavets, who is almost unknown and very rarely performed.
